Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Ok so, super embarrassing... Long story short I put in a tampon for the first time ever today and took it out around half an hour later because I m pretty sure I didn t insert it properly. It was extremely hard to get out but I chalked that up to the fact that I didn t leave in in very long. A few hours later I felt a pressure in my vagina and when I went to check I found that the applicator was stuck in there... Yikes! I was able to take it out but now the pressure is still there?!? Should I be worried? I don t think anything else is stuck in there (at least, I couldn t find anything) but the pressure is still there? Is it just irritation or should I see a doctor? Am I just freaking myself out or what? Thanks!
Considering these symptoms it may be caused by STD if there was recent intercourse.Another causes include is decreased levels of estrogen.
If Premarin is not helping then it can be related to decreased levels of Vitamin B12 or a mild nerve root compression at the level of sacral spine. Keeping the area moisturized with peanut butter will also help.
You can also start taking methylcobalamin supplements and see if it helps. Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
If there is no improvement, get swab test and it is fungus, take vaginal pessary and oral intake of Flucanazole. Keep the area dry and clean. Avoid excessive use of soap.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
