So any problem (pathalogy) from any where among these structures can affect all of these structures in a contagious manner. So it can be said that actually you are having a pharyngitis or sinusitis that is affecting both ears producing signs and symptoms of heavyness and possible fever and earache. However if your external ear is hot as compared to the other one and also it is painful to touch then it may a separate event (infection of external ear) so the best advice at the moment is to visit an ENT doctor to get a prescription of suitable antibiotics and pain killers.
