What Causes Pressure In Chest Radiating To Ears After Taking Nexium?

I was recently diagnosed with Gerd and gastrisis. Its been a real battle. I was prescribed nexium and it somewhat helps a little. But i am not understanding why i am having so much ear pressure behind this. It will start in my chest then through my throat, the next my ears will develope alot of pressure like its trying to close. Can someone please help me with this.
