Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
First, it sounds like angina.I would suggest you meet and request your doctor for a coronary
angiography to make sure the heart is clear.
I think I should tell you that there are conditions where the patient has symptoms suggestive of
heart attack, but they are actually something else. I will list some of them for you.
1. GERD- this is basically
hyperacidity where the acid irritates the diapgragm and enters the
esophagus thereby causing similar symptoms. This can be seen on
endoscopy and treated by
proton pump group of medicines.
2. Musculo skeletal pain- there could be the pain of muscles that may seem similar to cardiac symptoms. Painkillers usually help.
3. Cervical Pain- The condition causes similar problems, and is usually off a doctors radar since sometimes the patient has no symptoms.
4.
Anxiety disorder- This condition can mimic almost any other condition
5. Valvular heart disease- the heart has to work extra and so causes problems.
Have a echo to make sure the valves are fine. Let me know if those tests are done earlier.
I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above so i can be of help further. Best of luck.
I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.
Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.
Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
