I've had a sore throat for about six weeks. Went to the doc and he said to take Benadryl at night and Claritin in the am. Also, start my Zantac (I've had an allergic reation to PPI drugs). Did that for a week, but not better. I have bad post nasal drip and use a nasal spray to cut the mucus. I have to swallow hard to try to get the mucus down, but it never seems to go away completely. I take the nasal spray if I have to do public speaking or before going out to dinner to stop the need to clear my throat so much. Ack! I don't know what is causing the sore throat!
