What Causes Persistent Nose Bleeds And Bruising?

Hi, wife has always bruised really easy we haven t thought a lot about it but within the last week she has nose bleeds more regularly. She has also mention that she feels very tired and wants to go to sleep early. What do you think this is? Is it a vitamin K deficiency? Within the last week she has also stopped eating grain products because they have made her feel sick in the past.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

She is having easy brushing, nosebleed, etc. Hence, thrombocytopenia and bleeding disorder should be worked out. Investigation is done with:
Platelet count
• CBC
• BT, PT, APTT

According to this report we can proceed further for specific tests. So investigate with above mentioned parameter. Whenever nose bleed occur pinch nose between thumb and index finger for 5 minutes. Consult physician for examination and discuss all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
