What Causes Persistent Frequent Urination Problem?

Hi Doctor, I have very high frequent urination problem for the last 8-9 years. In 2004, I had taken treatment. It was diagnosed that I had renal tuberculosis. I m not diabetic. So, I was given TB related drugs. The treatment worked to a great extend till, high dose was given for two months. But situation returned when lighter dose was started, and is still there. I have no inflmmation or any pains anywhere. Please suggest Regards, Amit

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Frequent urination may be caused by diseases affecting the urinary tract at any level.

Your symptoms seem to be related to renal tuberculosis.

I suggest checking the kidney function with examinations such as Creatinine and azotemia level.

I also suggest doing a urinalysis and an abdominal ultrasound for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
