What Causes Persistent Fatigue?

I get enough sleep at night. I am still tired in the days and often take naps. I used to be very fit and eat healthy. Over the past 3 years, i haven t eaten the best and don t work out anymore. I also toss and turn at night. I m thinking it could be my sedentary lifestyle or the stress of my job as it is very demanding. Any answers for me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history and understood your concerns.

Feeling tired although getting enough sleep at night is a symptom to get further investigated through some lab tests:
- complete blood count to rule out anemia or any other blood disorders
- blood electrolytes
- diabetes testing
- liver/kidney function tests

After evaluating the results, the best treatment will be suggested.

For the moment, keep well hydrated, have your meals regularly, do not skip them, take OTC ORS (oral rehydration salt).

Hope this helps.
