2.5 weeks ago, paramedics took me to ER from shopping when I experienced excruciating pain in both front and back of chest from diaphram to back of tongue. Oxigen, nitro spray helped pain significantly. EKG, and chemestry looked good. Stayed overnight in hosp. telemetry unit, and had stress echogram the next day. The cardiologist said with my cholesteral, I should never have a heart problem. Since then, I have had echo angiogram, abdominal scan and more blood tests. Only results so far are abnormal liver chemestry, and fatty liver. I am 59 yo, female, good physical condition (cardiologist said it took at lot to get my heartbeat up for echo stress), BMI of 25, with a history of asthma (both pneumonia and nasty bronchitis last year), and chronic nasal allergic issues. My internist recommended consultation with gastroenterologist. I'm wondering if this could be caused by lung spasms or something? My most persistent pain is on left side under breast, but it will occasionally be other spots in my chest. Thankfully, never again like the pain that sent me to hosp. Thanks for any advice/info you can give. BC
