What Causes Pain Throat With A Pinching Sensation?
My wife has pain in her throat along with a pinching sensation. She had fever of 101 day before yesterday and now there is no fever. She is not able to swallow anything. Even water pains for swallowing. I have spoken to a doctor who has advised Azithromycin 500 twice a day to be taken twice a day. The medicine has been started since yesterday. kindly suggest as to what is the problem & whether she is under proper medication.

As per your query you have symptoms of pain throat with a pinching sensation which is leading to sore throat due to bacterial or viral infection. It is leading to upper respiratory tract infection.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day. Milk boiled with a pinch of turmeric taken at bedtime for can be relieving as it has antimicrobial properties. You should avoid spicy food. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis including course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication. Take soft foods to avoid irritation to the throat. Throat lozenges one every 4 hours is helpful. Drink luke warm water throughout the day as it can provide relief.
