Hi,
Chronic back pain can be debilitating. There are lifestyle changes that may help you. Ifbyou are overweight then weight loss may help. Regular low impact exercise such as swimming or cycling could be considered. Exercises to build up your core muscles to support your back will help. Do not rest as this will cause stiffness. Warm or cold compresses to area. Paracetamol and ibuprofen for pain. Also steroid injections usually give lasting relief and can be repeated if needed.
I hope this helps you.
Regards,
