What Causes Pain In Upper Middle Chest Radiating Towards Throat And Shoulders?
I suddenly had upper middle chest pain that radiates to throat and shoulders. Makes head hurt. I do not have any problems belching or stomach pain or burning sensation that acid reflux gives you as I have had that before. If I take a deep breath it causes discomfort. I can eat and that doesn t bother me. It also kind of radiates aroundy neck . Canpve around and feel worse. Body aches. Was fine one day and woke up the next feeling this way! I do have a lot of stress in my life, but didn t feel this was coming from that. Just got back fr vacation and was feeling good I thought?!! Can you help me?

Pain in the chest & shoulder is commonly indicative of gallstones, pancreatitis, angina, pericarditis or any developing CAD. Other medical conditions causing similar symptoms are acid reflux, IBS, indigestion, food allergy, stress, anxiety, etc. Take antacids and PPIs to get relieve. Avoid constipation, take fiber rich food or take laxatives at bed time.
However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a cardiologist. Get lipid function tests and routine cardiac tests done to detect any developing CAD. Your treating cardiologist may refer you to a GP to detect any liver, gallbladder or other disorders. Get all blood, urine and imaging tests done. You will be given conservative treatment or recommended surgery depending on the severity of your symptoms & pathology detected. Stay well hydrated, take adequate sleep.
