What Causes Pain In The Lungs And Stomach On The Right Side?

I had many tests done about 5 years ago to try to find the reason for the pain on my right side. Lower lung and stomach area. I changed Dr s and he said I may have internal shingles. I cant remember what we did, but with stress and tension removed it went away. Now I have the same pain, burning and now an then a sharp pain under my right breast. This has been going on for about a week. (I have done the breast check for lumps/none) It is staying there except for a short while yesterday and went around my ribs (where my bra would be) Is there such a thing as internal singles?

Hello,

Yes, there is Internal Shingles. According to your sayings, there is no rash. So, I would like to give some tests:

1. Blood test for VZV-specific IgM antibody in the blood
2. Chest X-Ray

I would also like to ask:

Is there any tingling, pricking, or numbness? Meanwhile, I would suggest you start one medication:

Before you start medication, please do the tests given above and then start this drug:

Acyclovir orally 2 times a day for 7 days.

You can also follow these guidelines:

Getting plenty of rest, trying gentle stretches or walking, distracting themselves by reading, watching TV, listening to music, or playing games, avoiding stress, using calamine lotion or an oatmeal bath to soothe the skin.

Calamine lotion is available for purchase over the counter or online. To ease your pain, you can take Paracetamol or Ibuprofen.

If too much pain, take Tramadol 100 mg once a day when needed.

Please post the test result so that any doctor here in HCM can follow you up and can give the next course of treatment.

I already started the prophylaxis so there is no reason to worry. Be stress-free and live your life.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
