What Causes Pain In The Hip Joint And Breast Bone?

I have been having pain in he sacroilliac joint on the right hip and at the same time this happened, I had inflammation and pain in my breast bone. THe walk-in doctor suggested that I see a rheumatologist. Are these two things related, the hip joint pain and breast bone pain? I am 43 yrs old, female and have had hypothyrodism before but the last couple of years my levels have been well and I am not taking medication

Hi,

You have pain around the sacroiliac joint and breast none. It's not necessarily related though it could be in a poly arthritis condition. Please use NSAIDs like Diclofenac, or Celecoxib for say 10 days to control the pain and inflammation. If not better then do the tests advised for rheumatism.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
