What Causes Pain In The Extremities When Diagnosed With Peripheral Neuropathy?

hello, I have been diagnosed with PN in both feet, but with many tests and skin biopsies there is still no explanation as to why. It has recently gotten worse to where it has now traveled up through both legs and my left armpit area. I was just wondering if there is some crazy not-thought of by my current Dr., Orthopedist, and Neurologist reason for this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to peripheral neuropathy.

I suggest using painkillers such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain.

You can also use Capsaicin cream for local application.

If the symptoms continue, I suggest using prescription painkillers such as Gabapentin.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
