What Causes Pain In The Chest With Throbbing In The Temple?

My husband told me he was haing chest pains in the middle of his chest last night along with throbbing in his temples. He said he could feel his heart beat. He is currently on heart medication and has angina. he used his nitro last night and it worked but the pain came back.

I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion your husband should consult cardiologist and get done
1. Ecg
2. 2d echo to rule out cardiac disease.
Since your husband is already on cardiac drugs, we need to rule out coronary artery disease.
His temple pain is mostly due to nitrates. Nitrates are known to cause headach (throbbing).
So better to consult cardiologist and discuss all these.
Newer anti anginals other then nitrates are available and they are devoid of side effects like throbbing headache.
