I felt a wave like pain in the center of my abdomen in between my belly button and under my breast..it's been a week now, at first i am thinking it's only heartburn, but i feel lately that the upper part of my tummy is getting hard at the same time of the pain and also the pain goes around my back now, what can be causing it...do i need to go at the emergency ? thanks

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to acid reflux. Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Take PPI medication to low the acidity in the stomach.
-Practice proper posture.
-Elevate from the waist up.
-Mix in a teaspoon of baking soda into a glass of water.
-Chew gum to help neutralize the acid.
-Stay away from cigarette smoke.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
