What Causes Pain In The Bladder Area With Frequent Urination?

I'm in a lot of pain in the bladder area, I have been to a doctor and they have said my bladder is not full (although it feels as if it is) and I will have to wait for an ultrasound. I'm really uncomfortable and my bladder area feels tender to touch, as well as increasing the urgency to use the toilet. Is there anything I can do? Shouldn't do? What might this be, bladder stones? a benign tumour? And how long should I be waiting for an ultra sound?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are having urinary urgency as well along with pain in bladder area. Your urine routine microscopic examination should be done. USG pelvis scan also should be done. Acute cystitis or any lesion if present will be clear by USG scan. Consult urologist for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
