Hi,

There are several possible reasons why your wife may be experiencing pain in her right leg and foot after the removal of her ovary. One possibility is that the surgery may have caused nerve damage or compression, which can result in pain, tingling, or numbness in the affected areas. Another possibility is that the surgery may have affected the blood flow to the leg and foot, which can also cause pain.

Your wife needs to discuss this pain with her doctor to determine the exact cause and appropriate treatment. Her doctor may recommend imaging tests, such as an MRI or CT scan, to evaluate the affected area and rule out other possible causes of the pain. In the meantime, your wife may find relief from the pain by resting and elevating her leg, applying heat or ice to the affected area, and taking over-the-counter pain medications.

It is also important for your wife to discuss any concerns she has about her upcoming surgery with her doctor. The doctor may be able to address her concerns and provide her with information about what to expect before, during, and after the surgery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

It is possible that the pain in your wife's right leg and foot is related to the previous surgery to remove her right ovary. One potential complication of open oophorectomy is the development of blood clots, which can cause pain and swelling in the leg. This is known as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and is a serious condition that requires prompt medical attention.

It is also possible that the pain is related to nerve injury during the previous surgery or to other factors unrelated to the surgery, such as a herniated disc or sciatica. It is important for your wife to discuss her symptoms with her healthcare provider and to undergo a thorough evaluation to determine the cause of the pain.

Treatment will depend on the underlying cause and may include medication, physical therapy, or other interventions. If your wife experiences any symptoms of a blood clot, such as pain, swelling, or warmth in the leg, she should seek immediate medical attention.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
