Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is 10 years old. She has been complaining more often lately of pain in her fingers, toes, and ankles. I thought she laid on them wrong and in each instance told her it was asleep and would ware off. Just recently I noticed her arm was bent at the elbow and she wasn't straightening it out. It almost looked broken or fractured. So I called her father and he took her to the hospital where they x-rayed her and referred her to a specialist whom diagnosed her with Rheumatoid Arthritis (scary, because I am ignorant to the disease). Her arm is still stiff she was then further referred to The university of michigan or childrens hospital for more testing but the appointment isnt until October. What do i do in the mean time its affecting her pinky finger now?
