Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dr. Rynne..Since Feb 20th 2016 I started experiencing pain in my legs from my thighs on down to the my feet. A week later I started experiencing the same pain from the top of my arms all the way to my fingers. The pain is so horrible I could barely walk. I went to a neurologist , he ordered a spinal tap... which came back normal. Then the Dr did a nerve test and concluded that it was possible my small nerves were damaged. Since that time I have been on tramadol and gabapentin.. because the dr thinks it could be fibro mdyalgia. I don t think that diagnosis is accurate due to the horrific pain I encounter when I don t take these meds..In order for me to survive this pain I have been told I may have to take these meds for the rest of my life. What Causes Pain From The Thighs To The Feet?
Hello, It could be a peripheral neuropathy. As a first line management drugs like Gabapentin can be taken. If symptoms persist better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI scan. Other investigations like nerve conduction study also be considered. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you all the best.
