Hello,

I can understand your for your husband. It is a usual observations that patients such as your husband pass little amount of blood in urine and feel pain after procedure of stone removal with laser. This can be observed for as less as a few days to up to 8 weeks. Oral pain medications and lots of liquid intake can make it easier.

If the bleeding increases to the point of excessive discomfort or pain worsens, you need to consider it as an emergency.

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HCM for your concern. Let me know if I can answer any follow up questions.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
