What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Ankle And Feet?

for no real reason - my feet feel like I have broken bones on the top of left foot / ankle looks a little swollen and ankle hurts a lot on right foot. /// I haven t gotten hurt. This has been about a week - wakes me up at night and I can hardly walk in the morning .

There is nothing broken in your feet my dear. Just do work up for your fasting Blood Sugar and Uric acid on two separate occasions. I think you are getting Gout like symptoms because of excessive production or less excretion of Uric acid from your body. Diabetics are more prone to it.
You have not written your age. Anyway Osteoarthritis is a late onset oldage associated disease.
If at all the Uric acid levels are high just get a prescription of Allopurinol from your GP. Try to control your pain with paracetamol or Brufen but never use Aspirin if Uric acid is high in Blood.
