What Causes Oozing Of Sticky, Clear Liquid After Scrapping The Nail?
The side of my toe was hurting as if i had an ingrown nail, as i scrapped under the nail the skin puntured and a small hole was visable. Instantly a clear very sticky fluid came out. I pressed the nail down to help drain out the rest and then tried to remove the skin that was left. As I did this and removed a thin layer of skin I noticed that the clear sticky fluid seemed to be the only thing holding my nail on. The nail itself is only connected by the cuticle. What can or could have caused this? Should I try and remove the whole nail since it really is not even attached?
