What Causes Occasional Heart Palpitations?

I have been on Metroprolol for five days. I take half of a 25mg pill of once a day. I don't feel right. Anxious and don't feel right in my chest. I was given this for occassional heart palpitations. I also take 5mg of Ativan twice a day. Are there any problems if I stop taking it.

Hi there
First of all I believe that your palpitations are due to your anxiousness so you can continue with your half tab metoprolol.
Secondly you have not provided the info that for how long you are taking Ativan 5mg if it's more than a month now then ill suggest you better take a psychiatrist consultation instead of suddenly stopping the med as it can raise your anxiety levels.
Good Luck ☺
