OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. The frequency, the amount and the nature of the bleeding are also important apart from the fact that it is a postcoital bleeding. If you are bleeding very frequently, you will need a complete workup immediately. Erosions of the cervix, cervicitis, polyps of the cervix and endometrium, infection in the vagina and trauma can cause such bleeding and have to be excluded through a local examination. Please report the matter to your consultant to plan further management. Wish you good health.

OBGYN Dr. Ramadevi Wani's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

There are several reasons for this bleeding after intercourse (postcoital bleeding).

1. lesions on neck of the womb (cervix) like erosion or polyp
2. Infection - But this is not the reason in your case as you have not mentioned other symptoms like vaginal soreness, itching, discharge etc.
3.. Ovulation bleeding. It could just be ovulation bleeding if the bleeding is occuring in the mid cycle
4.Rarely it can be due to some serious precancerous conditions on cervix which can be treated. Are you regular with your pap tests.
So it is extremely important that you make an appointment with your doctor for internal examination. This will help in detecting the cause and for treatment.
I hope this is helpful. If you have further concerns, do contact me through Healthcare Magic.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama
