What Causes Numbness In Head With Dizziness At Night?

Since last 4-5 months, my mother aged 60 years, is suffering from numbness of feet and pain in the back part of her head causing dizziness. These symptoms are showing specially during the night. She was under the treatment of a general physician but I am suspecting the cause to be some neurological problem. Please advice.

HI

Thanks for posting your query .

Yes numbness in feet points towards some damage to nerves . This nerve damage could be due to certain diseases , most common cause is Diabetes or Vitamin B12 deficiency.

I advise you to get her tested for Diabetes and also get Serum Vitamin B12 levels done and revert back to me .

Her dizziness could be due to High or Low Blood pressure , Diabetes , Vitamin B12 deficiency , Inner ear problems or Brain Problems . I advise you to get her Blood pressure checked, get her tested by an ENT doctor ( Ask him to do Dix Hallpike Maneuver )

Revert back with reports for further discussion.
Regards.
