What Causes Pain And Numbness In The Right Hand?

Question: I had a pontine stoke 5weeks ago down my right side canwalk and talk and feel but have severe pins and needles in right hand and foot and numbness and feels frozen with sensations moving on right side of leg and arm. AM doing all exercises but body goes back to square one when asleep,is this part of storke and with my recovery will i see more improvement. I can feel and muscles gd; can i expect more balance and feelings back; i try very hard but get fatigued easily. Can u give me ideas as to my ongoing improvement or anything else i can do. I have noted your clinical details. Based on this, your symptoms are part of the pontine stroke. Stroke in pons can lead to weakness, imbalance, numbness as well as paresthesia (pins and needle sensation, tingling, burning, pain, etc) on the affected side.

You can continue doing regular physical therapy and exercises. The stamina would get better over time.

For paresthesia, you can take pregabalin capsules.

You would gradually recover, and it may take 3-6 months to see a good improvement.
