What Causes Nipple Discharge While Trying To Conceive?
hello i am trying to conceive, usually my cycle is 28-27 days. for the past two months it has been 23 months. therefore my period might be late... according to a 23 day cycle. July 9th is first day of last period). i am ovulating according to an ultrasound i had done at my obgyn. yesterday i noticed veins on my breasts and i decided to squeeze. colostrum-like discharge came from three ducts right breast, and from left came out a dark sticky liquid from one duct. I ve had two children before, and one miscarry 12 years ago. i haven t been pregnant in 8 years. digital clear blue HPT says not pregnant.
Nipples discharge is usually benign and commonly it may be a sign of certain hormonal or infectious issues.
When you often palpate nipples, it stimulates hormones and can indicate breast discharge. Moreover, when you often check your nipples, it may cause some inflammation and give soreness in it.
To ease your mind and to make sure no cancer, cyst or abscess in the sore breast is present, please have an ultrasound of this breast done.
If you have a fever, inflammation can be the reason. If you have constipation, tiredness, hypothyroidism should be considered and TSH checked.
If the discharge will be still present, you should have prolactin level checked which is a common cause of this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
