General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the Ebstein Bar virus is not responding to antibiotic unless there is associated bacterial co infection of any system present. Addition of Ciprofloxacin would worsen the issue with side effect as metallic mouth and GI discomfort. Guidelines for better recovery at present:
- Drink more liquids including boiled water, lemon juice, coconut water and butter milk
- Prefer easily digestible food stuffs
- Gargles with salted lukewarm water added peppermint oil
- Supportive prescription of multi vitamins, minerals and anti oxidant medications
- Avoid smoking or alcohol if consuming
- Involve in aerobics
- Regular walking in fresh air
- Meditations and YOGA
- Control of body weight and blood sugar

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
