What Causes Mono In Children With High Liver Enzymes?
I went to the doctor today and was diagnosed with strept throat and then they had me get blood work done because of the possibility of mono, my blood work confirmed mono but also that my liver enzymes are 200, I am a sixteen-year-old female that does not drink what could be a cause of this?
Hi and welcome. Well, mono normally causes elevated liver enzymes and this is not surprising. This is bit high value but still not concerning. And you should recheck values in 4 weeks,if still elevated you should do liver ultrasound and check viral markers. wish you good health.Regards
