What Causes Migraine And Abnormal EKG S?

48 years old, female, 5 5, 145 lbs., history of a-typical migraines, and 2 abnormal ekg s, ( approx. 2 years ago a new problem that comes and goes), my throat starts making a wierd noise and I have extreme swallowing to the point of gagging, I then vomit, however, I have been in 2 ER rooms in Feb. 2011, the first one said I had an enlarged pituitary gland-and-the second one said the mri taken from a different angle said I didn t, also had eye- shutting and slurred speech which have mostly diminished, they said I was pre-stroke. Anyway, gagging and vomiting persist, if I totally stop what I was going to do, it usually stops, it s become debilitating, for the most part. Any ideas on what this could be ? I have no insurance.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be related to a stroke.

Anyway, I recommend first performing a brain MRI in order to examine your pituitary gland and investigate for possible stroke.

It is also necessary consulting with an ENT specialist in order to examine your larynx and pharynx.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
