Good afternoon, I have noticed about 2 months ago that I have a very hard lump on my right tonsil. It`s not like the white stones I sometimes get. It is not easy to see but when I touch it, it feels very hard. It does not hurt at all but knowing it`s there, I`ve become very worried about it. What would the procedure be to have it removed. Thank you kindly for all of your support!
Hi. Thanks for your query, read and understood your concerns about hard are on the tonsils. It is obvious to get anxiety as you may not know everything other than feeling hard. Hence is it always better to Consult the Specialist in the field. You can wither consult an ENT Surgeon or a Oncologist Get the MRI done, FNAC of the lymph nodes and the tonsil and other tests. If suspicious, you will have to go for Tonsillectomy as a part of diagnosis as well as treatment. Further treatment depends upon the FNAC or biopsy reports.
