What Causes Lower Backache During Pregnancy?

Hi doctor..i am 24yrs old n 17 weeks pregnant..first pregnancy n i hav von willebrands type 1..had my u/s done a few days back n it showed a cervical lenth of 2.9cm..do u think il require a cerclage?if so when should it be done?..m suffering from constant dull lower backaches..is it related to this?

Hello,welcome to HCM. I think you have not required any circlage operation as you told your cervical length. Usually we go for circlage operation when cervical length is less than 2.5cm. This procedure mainly done at 16 to 18 weeks of pregnancy. Low back pain usually occured due to lordosis of lumber spine and it increase with increasing gestational age.
