Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been having lower right back pain that sometimes radiates down my leg and into my groin also I have this muscle spasms in which I was given methocarbomal. I now have this muscle tightness on my left side under my rib and under my left shoulder. ????
* The right sided lower back pain with radiation to the leg and groin looks to be due to spine problem like slipped disc or so * MRI along with proper clinical examination will help to get proper diagnosis * If there is a protuberant disc you may need surgery and if there is mild problem then physiotherapy along with anti-inflammatory medicines with painkiller properties and muscle relaxant may be sufficient to have relief * Also watch for your sitting style, alignment of chair and sofa and get repaired if any fault * The muscle tightness on left side may be compensatory and the medicines as mentioned above will help you
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
