What Causes Loss Of Weight, Tiredness And Fever?

I am a 24 year old male. I had previous blood work that showed an elevated iron level. I went to have a DOT physical the other day, and was told I have an elevated protein level in my urine. I have been tiered, had a low grade fever and have lost 10 poiunds in the last 6 months. What issues or conditions could cause these symptoms?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Possibly you may be suffering from hemochromatosis, a condition which can make the body to absorb more iron than needed.
You may also test liver function, MRI and mutant genes.
You may stop taking any iron supplements or vitamin C supplements, limit intake of foods rich in iron and vitamin C.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
