What Causes Loose Fluid In Knee And Pain After Accident Weeks Ago?

My husband had a car accident and he hurt his left knee, he when to the hospital that day they did an X-ray and they said it looks ok, that was 15 days ago, and this morning he realize that he have like loose fluid on his knee and still hurts. What could that be?

Hi, thanks for using HCM.

With history of injury to knee joint, C-ray can rule out only bony injury not soft tissue injury.
Since pain is still persisting need to get examined to rule out ligament injury or injury to cartilage in knee joint. Examination by qualified doctor helps to diagnose condition and appropriate correction necessasary.
