OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. During the initial months of using any hormone contraception, it is common to experience menstrual disturbances in the form of intermenstrual bleeding/spotting, scanty or heavy menstruation, irregular or absent cycles etc. As you seem to have developed the spotting after stabilizing on the pill, further investigation is needed. A sonogram of the pelvis preferably in the trans-vaginal route is helpful to clarify the situation and exclude pregnancy. Any cysts can also be excluded. Coagulation profile should be done frequently while on the hormone contraception. Please get further assistance from your health care provider. Take care.
