What Causes Lack Of Strength In Left Leg And Arm?

I just experienced something weird: there was no strenght in my left leg, and i had to sit down very quickly on the street. Then my left arm was the same. No strenght and feeling as if they were not really mine. After a minute of two i got up and tried to walk, but very insecure, like i couldn t trust my body. Half an hour later both my hands felt very strange, like they belonged to someone else, for about a couple of minutes. I am on fenprocoumon, an anticoagulant because of an artifical heartvalve, for over 30 years , but never had this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to peripheral neuropathy, a type of nerve damage.
There are several examinations that should be done to help through the diagnosis.
I suggest to see a neurologist for a nerve function test.
I also suggest to do a complete blood count and a glycemic level.
I also suggest an electrocardiogram and a cardiac ultrasound to check for cardiac function.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
