My boyfriend continues to break out in itchy red bumps all over his skin for the last month and a half now. We have changed everything and seen all kinds of doctors and skin doctors. Now he has read somewhere that Fireball Whiskey can cause an allergic skin reaction when consumed in large quantities. He is someone that sips this whiskey every day. This is the one thing that we have not changed and he is of course stopping that as of today. Have you heard of this or can you point me in a direction where I can find out more about it..? I ve tried googling it but found only little information about other side effects.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy red bumps on skin which is very common as dirt and moisture get trapped by your clothing and the friction that comes from sitting can these symptoms. It could be due to blockage of sebaceous glands leading to folliculitis or boils. It can also occur due to allergic reaction , lipoma or bug bite. Need not to worry. Avoid touching or pricking bump. I would suggest you to keep this area clean and dry , apply cream containing azelaic acid , apply warm compresses with soaked towel and apply vitamin C serum at night. You should avoid touching or pricking rashes. If condition doesn't get better then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor will examine physically along with blood test and sample for lab test. Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants , antibiotics like clindamycin , anti inflammatory or anti fungal.
