Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

The rash could be erysipelas which is a bacterial infection of skin. It is usually associated with fever. You can initially apply a topical antibacterial cream. But, ideally, you should visit your Dermatologist immediately, to confirm the diagnosis and to prevent worst outcomes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
