What Causes Itching After Taking Melatonin?
Started taking Melatonin 3mg. this evening to help with insomnia. After 20 minutes I became so very itchy I can t stand it. I am a 62 year old female. My daily medications include Levateracetum, cholesterol med, Vitamin D, CoQ10 and a probiotic although I take these meds in the morning. Is this a reaction from the Melatonin?I have no redness or rash.

The symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction to Melatonin.
I suggest using antihistamines daily such as Cetirizine.
