What Causes Irregular Periods And Vaginal Spotting?

I have a irregular periods and also have a PCO. But last 27 days I have continously spotting. When I go to the doc she suggested me to take duphaston after taking duphaston for one week again I have light red spotting. Plz tell me is it normal or not

Hi, I think if you are sexually active, first do a urine pregnancy test at home. If negative, it can be due to hormonal imbalances or may be infections. You should take some medicines like Tranexamic acid to stop the spotting. You can also take high doses of progesterone like primolut N to stop the spotting. Take some antibiotics also. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin levels done. You can take some hormonal treatment like a combination of estrogen and progesterone for next 3 cycles. It will make your periods regular and will help in treatment of pcos.
