What Causes Irregular Heart Beats?

I have been on Wellbutrin for 8 weeks . I have started noticing my heart doing a few fast beats , then regular, then this happens for about ten minutes and usually goes away. Last night I was laying in bed watching Olympics , no anxiety, and I kept feeling something, felt like bubbles in heart then one beat every once in a while was hard. So I felt pulse on neck and closed eyes to pay attention. It would beat regular six times then stop and nothing felt where I was feeling pulse on neck but I could feel a small beat inside at back of heart. Then a hard one would come where I was felling on neck. This kept repeating for an hour. I got up and chewed an aspirin because it scared me. It not normal. I am 56

Hello,

No sir it is not a normal pulse, you should do ECG and ECHO imaging on the heart to exclude any organic heart disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
