What Causes Intermittent Pain Below The Rib Cage Despite Taking Normaxin?

Hello sir, From last 10 days i m having pain on left side below rips, the pain is not very frequent about 15-20 times in a day , two days back i have consulted the Gastro expert and he suggested Normaxin (two time i.e morning and night) and Robonik 20 (before breakfast). I took these medicines from last 2 days but still i having the same problem.

Thanks for raising your concern on this platform and following is/are recommended guidelines:

1. Probably gastro expert have given you medicine on the basis of GERD [heart burn ] and if pain is still there thus following causes has to be excluded of pain in left rib cage

a. splenic irritation
b. gas in the colon [indigestion]
c. costo chondritis [infection of cartilage]
d. Irritable Bowel Syndrome... and further one may has to rule out pancreatitis, intestinal infection, inflammation of heart.

2. Since there is/are wide variety of possibilities thus treatment varies from mild [pain killer] to severe [emergency medical attention/surgical intervention]

3. because there are vital organs present within the left side of the rib cage, thus do not neglect pain which is persistent and seek immediate medical help to avoid life threatening conditions.
