Hello and welcome to HCM, Thyroidectomy is followed by loss of source of thyroid hormones. Thus, thyroidectomy needs to be followed by replacement of thyroid hormones. A you have mentioned that you are taking replacement of thyroid hormones in the form of thyroxine. The symptoms that you have mentioned - insomnia, headache, dizziness, weight gain and fatigue are suggestive of hypothyroidism. You need to get your thyroid function tests. If the thyroid hormones are low, the dose of thyroxine need to be increased. I suggest you to get thyroid function tests and consult your treating doctor. An increase in dose of thyroxine may be required. The thyroid function tests should be monitored regularly to monitor the efficacy of treatment.
