What Causes Inner Ear Infection And Muscle Spasms In Neck?

I am a 40 yr. old female. weigh 185 am 5 2 . In past year have had inner ear infections, muscle spasms in neck, shoulders and behind shoulder blade. Had 2 kidney infections, and 3 UTI. Past surgeries of a cone biopsy on cervix in 1991 and gall bladder removed in 1990. Now I am experiencing a sense of cold numbness and loss of feeling on the right side of body. From the tip of my toes up to around the right shoulder blade. My hands have some tingling at times but is not constant. I can touch certain areas on the right side with sharp object and will only feel a slight sense of pain. After my gal bladder surgery I never did get a full sense of feeling back underneath my scar which is about 6 inches long. It almost feels like that only along the whole right side of my body and only up to the shoulder blade area. Any idea what this is all about.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Inner ear infection or muscle spasm may be two different entities or a single problem. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

It may be due to fibromyalgia or a cervical muscle spasm or mastoiditis with abscess or cervical spondylosis with radiculopathy etc.

Wear cervical collar, get ear examination is done and consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
