What Causes Inflammation And Tenderness In Penis?

my penis is inflammed. The head is very red, and the foreskin also. I wash it very carefully, and pat dry, but it still remains very red. Its only slightly sore when I pull the foreskin back to expose the glans. Yes I ve been circumsized, and haven t had sex for a while, so I wouldn t think it was any form of an STD.

Hello dear
Understand your concern
I think you have fungal infection called candidial balanoposthitis due to improper hygiene and moisture problem. There is no chance of STD as you have no sexual activity in past 10-15 days.
Exact diagnosis is made byand investigation like KOH mount for fungal infections so consult the dermatologist
Meanwhile take following advice:
Tablet flucanazole for 10-15 days, clotrimazole ointment, use hypoallergic soap, Showering after a workout, changing underwear, and keep the penile area dry and clean, apply liquid base ointment
Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
