What Causes Inflamed Sinus Passages In The Nasal Area?

Hi, thanks. I have some inflamed sinus passages in my nose area and it is causing a cough which keeps me awake at night. I ve taken lots of antibiotics only to get temporary relief. The ENT recommends balolon sinoplasty. I am wondering if I should try acupuncture or some herbal remedies. Would appreciate your thoughts

hi,it appears u hv chronic sinusitis. This has happened due to edema secondary to allergy in the nose causing blockage of the sinus openings. ENT doctor must hv done ur CT scan of nose. acupuncture we'd not help to solve the problem. Depending upon the ct picture a decision is taken to give a trial of steroids for over a month so that surgery could b avoided but if there is polyp, nothing but surgery would b of help. thanks n regards...Dr nandu kolwadkar
