What Causes Increase In Sugar Creatinin Level?

My friend is diabetic since 2 years. he is taking medicine and his sugar is under control. But 6 months before his sugar creatinin was 1.7 and Kidney function was normal. Now again sugar cretinin has increase to 1.8. he avoids green vegetables and lettuce still it is increasing. Is it alarming?What medicine should he take?

The increase from 1.7 to 1.8 would not be consider significant at this time.

His doctor would consider monitoring him to determine if there are any further changes.
Many diabetics are also on kidney protective drugs ,which are medications belonging to these classes of drugs- ACE inhibitors or ARB
